We are so excited to bring a Health & Fitness Program to Catalyst Health Center! We truly believe in making health and fitness a lifestyle. We have qualified instructors to lead our new, fun and exciting classes in a safe and uplifting environment. Our mission is to help our participants achieve overall wellness, improve quality of life and strive towards a healthier lifestyle!

All of our classes are held in a group setting where you will be motivated and inspired by your fitness friends to reach your goals. We want to see you succeed! PIYO

Sweat, stretch and strengthen – all in one workout! All you need is your own yoga mat. Using only your bodyweight, you will perform a series of low impact, high intensity pilates and yoga inspired moves to work every muscle in your body. The result? A long, lean and incredibly defined physique!

Piyo isn’t like standard Pilates and Yoga classes that make you hold long, intense poses or lead you through dozens of repetitive, microscopic core movements. PiYo speeds everything up including your results by introducing you to dynamic, flowing sequences that can burn serious calories the same time as they lengthen and tone your muscles to increase your flexibility.

With every action packed PiYo session, you can burn excess fat and sculpt and define your whole body as you minimize the aches and pains that can come along with high impact workouts. No matter your age, no matter your body type, PiYo will help give you dramatically visible, incredibly beautiful results!

SILVER SNEAKERS

The Silver Sneakers fitness program is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity and offering social events. Classes are designed for participants to have fun and move to music through a variety of exercises that not only increase strength but also help with performing regular activities for daily living.

Silver Sneakers classes range from 45 to 60 minutes and involve seated total body conditioning designed to increase muscular strength, endurance, range of movement, flexibility, balance, agility and coordination. The provided class equipment includes light hand weights, elastic tubing with handles, a small exercise ball and a chair available for seating and/or additional support.

There are seven parts to the program: warm up, flexibility, stretching, aerobic, strengthening, balancing and cool down. Silver Sneakers is an innovative health, exercise and wellness program helping older adults to live healthy and active lifestyles. Get fit, have fun, make friends!

TURBO KICK

The ultimate cardio kickboxing party! Ready to become a total knockout? With fierce cardio kickboxing and body-sculpting dance moves choreographed to the hottest music mixes, you’ll get ultra lean and toned and you will have a blast doing it!

This 60 minute class combines the agility and rigor of both hip hop and Muay Thai Boxing – love the super multi cultural mix. The class begins and ends with a tai chi like warm up with some ab work added at the end. Classes are made up of “rounds”, which are sections of classic boxing moves, from upper cuts to roundhouse kicks with dance steps. You don’t need to be a dancer or familiar with dance moves to enjoy the class! It’s just pure fun! Your upper back and arms will feel totally worked out without having to do a single push up or lift a dumbbell. There is serious power to a punch!

One of the signatures of this class are the turbos, which are short intervals where you push yourself to the max before getting a short break. About half way through the class, a siren goes off and then you know it’s time to kick it into high gear – think high knees, plyometrics, lots of punching, kicking and jumping! The only equipment you need is your own personal yoga mat for our hardcore abs section at the end of each class! Be prepared to feel unstoppable in a class that’s high energy, fast paced and loads of fun! Get ready to be a total knockout!
